Community Bank of the Chesapeake Announces "Here's to Exceeding Expectations" Facebook Contest

WALDORF, Md., June 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Community Bank of the Chesapeake has announced a Facebook contest called "Here's to Exceeding Expectations." Through the contest, the bank's Facebook fans will submit stories of receiving exceptional service or random acts of kindness. After a voting period, the bank will award $250 to the subjects of the two top vote-getting stories.

Beginning on June 17, 2015, users can submit written stories through a Facebook App on the bank's Facebook page. The bank will select five finalists that will be voted on. At the close of the voting period, Community Bank of the Chesapeake will give $250 to the subjects of the two stories that get the most votes.

The contest is designed to recognize individuals throughout the bank's communities who do more than their fair share through their jobs, in service or just in small acts of kindness. Nominees can be service providers, friends, coworkers or anyone else from the community.

Many social media contests and giveaways provide an opportunity for individuals to win prizes for themselves, but this contest is meant to give a token of thanks to others for the good they do in the community.
