The Community Financial Corporation Files Shelf Registration Statement

WALDORF, Md., Oct. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Community Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: TCFC) (the "Company"), the holding company for Community Bank of the Chesapeake today announced that it has filed a shelf registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission.  The shelf registration statement provides the Company with the ability to offer in one or more public offerings, up to $75.0 million of securities, including common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, depositary shares, warrants or units.  The terms of future offerings would be established at the time of the offering.
